Rockingham Castle

East Carlton Park East Carlton Park is situated approximately 10 minutes drive from the CL, or a 20 minute walk through the village's of Cottingham and Middleton.  It is a public park that is ideal for dog walking.  It is open 365 days a Year with woodland walks, Cafe, Craft Workshops, Childrens Play area, Toilets ( inc Disabled ) Free Parking and entry. Rutland Water 

   

Rutland Water is one of the largest man made reservoirs in Europe.  It is operated and maintained by Anglian Water.  Activities include sailing, approximately 26 miles of cycle trails, fishing & birdwatching, pleasure cruises on the Rutland Belle, it is open all year.  The South shore is located approxiomately 11 miles from Rockingham CL site.  www.rutlandwater.org.uk
