.....................The Rockingham CL site is excellent , the site is so much better than anything we have experienced before......The Rockingham CL is set on an excellent hillside position and benefits from great sunsets.....We were entertained by one, two and on one occasion three red kites soaring above the valley.  The Welland valley provides a true 180 degrees panorama from all 5 pitches.......Security is excellent......we liked the security gated coded access, pitches are all level with dry gravel and adequate space for an awning with good clearance to one's neighbour, It is a great idea to have the kids football area to one end of the site........................Regards  John & Margaret...............

       Site Description      

Rockingham CL is open 365 days a Year site approximately 1.5 acres allocated to the CL, it is located with good links to the A14 / M1 & M6 main routes through the UK. Licensed by the Caravan Club to accomodate touring caravans and motorhomes up to maximum of 28 days stay at any one time,  it is a Caravan Club Members only site therefore you must be a member of the caravan club to stay here or any other CL ( Certified Location ).

Rockingham CL is located just off the B670 with stunning views overlooking the Rockingham Valley just 5 minutes walk outside the villages of Cottingham & Middleton, there are 2 public houses offering real Ale & good old fashioned pub food.  There is also the Hunting Lodge hotel & restaurant which offers afternoon tea and evening meals.

Site Facilities

  • Off road entrance and driveway. 
  • Dogs Welcome ( Must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the CL ).
  • 16 Amp Electric Hookups ( un-metered ).
  • All Pitches are hardstanding.
  • Fresh water & Chemical toilet disposal area.
  • 24 Hour discreet CCTV security camera's.
  • £ 2 million pound public liability insurance.
  • Trout Fishing within 3 miles from site.
  • Public Golf course & driving range within 1 1/2 miles.
  • Coded entry gate ( code given on advance bookings ).
  • Enclosed recycling bin area.
  • Children welcome & Ball games area ( away from pitch area )

.............Hi James, Andrew & Angie.....I can honestly say that Rockingham CL is the best CL I have ever been to.  Imaculate site, well cared for and spacious.  The view over the valley is superb and the added bonus of the red kytes flying overhead was magical, we will be back soon.........................Ray & Jackie Newitt ( May 2010 ).........

......Hello All,  Thank you for the stay at your site last week, it is without doubt the best site we have stayed on so far & I think it is going to be difficult to better it.  As a heating engineer Paul was particularly impressed with the trace heating cables to the cold water supply.  However overall it was very clear that you had made a decision to build a top quality site & to that end you succeeded admirably........without doubt we will both be visiting again, probably later this year.......The views are absolutely beautiful but watching the Red Kite circling & hovering was an added bonus.  We have attached a sunset photograph taken from the site which you may wish to incorporate on your web site.  Thanks again for a wonderful week.............Glynis & Paul ( Hull,visited June 2011 )
