Quality of the site for a CL is top notch.
Easy access.
The views are second to none and put this site in my top 5. Loved the Red Kites dropping into the field a few yards in front of you searching for food.
The system of choice of pitch at first seems odd, but in fact is very good with you able to choose which one of your two to pitch up on.
The pitches are nicely laid out and large enough with good spacing between. It means, whilst not the largest of CL’s I’ve been on, it certainly does not feel cramped or over looked in the slightest even when full.
Whilst we didn’t make use of them on this visit, the provision of a picnic bench for each pitch was a good touch.
“Green” fluid only for the toilet waste is a positive for me, and they provide some on hand. The waste dump is simple, but one of the easiest and most effective to use I have seen.
The friendly owners visit their horses and are very amiable for a chat without being intrusive.
