Just wow!!!!
We stayed for a short weekend as I was attending a sports event in nearly Uppingham. I am so glad that we chose this campsite.
The campsite itself is small but with generous pitches and thoughtful touches such as picnic benches on each pitch. It welcomes children (thank you) and is very safe and secure. The shower/ toilet
facilities are immaculate! My husband said they were nicer than some hotels!
The owners are so welcoming and came for a chat as soon as we arrived.
The views from the pitches are spectacular. When we left I was genuinely gutted that I wouldn't be waking up to that view the next morning! The resident red kites kept us all occupied for hours
watching them soaring (and landing) nearby! My son, who is a nature lover, was absolutely blown away.
We will 100 % be back as I feel we've only scratched the surface of what is is the surrounding area.

We visited Foxton Locks which was a lovely walk along the 10 locks leading to the Grand Union canal.
We have so many plans for future visits such as Rockingham castle, Rutland Water and just wandering round the local chocolate box villages!!

We used this site as a stop over for make a short journey the next morning to the clubfest, If we visit the area again, we will certainly stay here. Fantastic site.

This is definitely the nicest CL site I have been to. The site is lovely and clean. The toilets and showers block is spotless. The view is to die for.
The village is lovely, with some beautiful houses, a small village shop which sells your essentials and also does tea/coffee and cakes etc. Unfortunately the pub was closed for refurbishment, so we
didn't get to sample that. There are some lovely walks along public footpath and wooded areas.
To top all this off, the owners, Claire, Croash and their daughter Scarlett are lovely. So helpful, friendly and bubbly. I would recommend this site to anyone.
When the sun sets, and you're sitting there with some music on low and a beer in you're hand, looking across the valley, it's just stunning.

Lovely site, well maintained with excellent facilities. The cafe in nearby Cottingham is walking distance and offers some very nice lunch options.

Lovely little site excellently maintained. Very clean toilets and showers,
nicely decorated. Plenty of room between pitches. Beautiful views across the Welland Valley. Will definitely be returning.
